TAIWAN NEEDS SOME SORT OF MIRACLE-China has a thuggish authoritarian regime
Taiwan/China diplomatic battle over Swaziland has been an interesting topic of late. Everywhere you go , every Old Brown Cherry drinking group, a handful 4th Street imbibers have something to say about the carrot mainland Chiona has been dangling to Africa (save for our peaceful Kingdom of Eswatini).
Who am I to tell labadzala who to choose and what to do? In our culture that is utter disrespected and it is accorded with a thorough beating until on soils himself. Before we could be hearing the both sides of the story about the Mainland China Diplomatic interests in Africa , everyone played the blame game on the Government of Eswatini for not accepting the red China courting ways. It was until the day we could hear of them grabbing on of Sri Lanka's ports, Zambian Airport etc then we realized that what is promised might come as poison to the tiny Kingdom.
We have heard enough of another blame game of the influx of Asians ( Bangladesh, Pakistan, India) in our shores grabbing every little business opportunity they come across. i wouldn't be suprised if they then be seen breeding mosquitos in order to sell more Doom.
Enough of the 'brothers'. My main worry as i the current chorus the 'red ' China has been preaching especially about the Africa debt crisis which has been allegedly cured by the Chinese direct financial injection to the world. despite that we are having the country's cash flow challenges there are countries which have been rated to be worse.
These are the so called heavily -indebted countries in the African continent , with simple economic structures dependent on the export of resources. These are the ones who need not to be fooled by the red China approach but they need to develop an independent and sustainable economy.
